6 hours and 22 minutes agoOh yeah...Ive got a good one! When my brother was five he would for lack of a better word..."skid" his underwear! Our mom got sick of cleaning up the messes so she handed my brother a small green bucket, a scrub brush, a cup of Clorox bleach and a stack of "skidded" underwear and told him that since he made the mess he was going to clean the mess. There sat my brother in the backyard scrubbing away! ha! It took him a few times to learn the lesson of "cleaning up after yourself" but finally the "skids" seemed to disappear. Now my brother is 26 and funny thing..we were cleaning out my parents garage and we found the bucket!!! Why would my mom keep the bucket?? Mom's sure do hold on to the weirdest stuff!!I know...this is personal but $10,000 is on the line and I didn't use names!

Today marks the first day of National Etiquette Week! In an age where "pleases" and "thank yous" seem harder and harder to come by, wouldn't it be nice if more people remembered and followed the Golden Rule of "treating others the way you would like to be treated?" Well you’re cordially invited to Kindness Kingdom, the only manners-etiquette-tea-party-princess board game on the market today.
Parents will love this game since it encourages empathy, develops important social skills, and nurtures a kindness of spirit we all want in our children. Your little princesses ages 5-9 will love it since it makes manners and etiquette education fun by wrapping it in the beautiful pink and purple bows of a tea party fairytale world.
What’s the magical journey?
Queen Grace invites 4 players to a tea party at Courtesy Castle. On the way, they progress down a colorful gemmed path that is fanciful, silly, and full of manners and etiquette education. Players visit eight neighborhoods in Kindness Kingdom where they must answer manners questions. With each correct answer, players collect charms for their charm bracelet board they will take to the tea party. There are also tea party etiquette questions that are fun and provide opportunities to collect more charms. Even a few bullies near the slippery slopes of bad manners create opportunity for important discussion.
Kindness Kingdom takes to heart the notion that “courtesy starts at home” – it was created by three generations of ladies in one family. This game is a wonderful way to spend family time together in your home, too. So turn off those televisions, laptops, and cellphones and set up your own tea party.
Kindness Kingdom retails for $35. But ediTORIal fans can buy it for $30 plus shipping by using promo code KINDNESS at www.kindnesskingdom.com and “Liking” our Facebook page.
Remember, the gift of good manners is priceless!
So cute!

Apr 23, 2012They reset it for me. It works now!!!!!
Apr 23, 2012Tori I wish I could wear those shoes they are so nice, but I would fall on my Dupa. But I always like seeing what the new style is.
Apr 23, 2012It makes zero sense to buy shoes that cost $63 --- I got my nude patent pumps (J.Simpson brand) from Plato's Closet for $6.00 but it must be nice to be able to afford overpriced shoes like that. Gotta know how to bargain hunt in life because theyre out there & it is foolish to buy things that are expensive when it's 200% unnecessary. Websites like that are a rip off :/

I Can't believe these shoes are by Steve Madden! I do have quite a few pairs of shoes from him myself! In fact Tori, I was the biggest shoe crazed person there was! I must have about maybe 50 OR More pairs of heels & boots in my closet! Unfortunately, I don't or can't wear them anymore! Use to wear them every day, not quite as high! I wont get rid of them!! They hurt my back, leg & hip!! I'm so mad about it!!... Also have SO Many belts... Yes, I am a Hoarder too!! Ha!! I am a purse person too! When your purse collection comes out, I'm sure I'll Love them & will be purchasing at least one! Xo :))
Apr 23, 2012Love them! But can't afford them. I'm the mother of a college kid, can't afford anything! I love shoes because they ALWAYS fit no matter how heavy or thin I am. I wear heels and earings everyday, they make me feel pretty
Apr 23, 2012Ahhh love them :D
Apr 23, 2012I've heard of this but didn't know the membership was free! guess that's good since you pay for the shoes. That is a great deal for the shoe lovers!

I have been watching Celebrity Apprentice and am totally disgusted with Lisa Lampinelli...She doesn't give anyone a chance. She is completely rude. I really like the show and love to see the celebs doing things just to raise money for charity. I think it is great! I am hoping that Dayanna or Arsenio wins. I think that the format is a really great way to raise big money for so many charities that do so much good.
Apr 18, 2012Tori, I am in awe of you. You have a beautiful family and thriving businesses. I can't wait for your show to come back on. Many Blessings, Cynthia
Apr 18, 2012I agree with youGabiGirl...every time this woman talks, when she is not in front of the Trumps, she just have the worst behivor towards the rest of the people... I think she has many psicological issues... poor lady, a woman like this can't be capable to be anybody's boss... or friend... or anything. I watch Celebrity Apprentice every week with my husband and LOVE IT!!! Also think thet Arsenio or Dayana should winn... actually many think that Dayana is not too bright, I think is the opposite, she doesn't talk more that what she should and les the situation talk.
Great way to help people in need
Apr 18, 2012LOL, Vania, so very true! But I think that Dayanna is one of those "watch out for the quiet ones" types of people. It's going to get interesting even more so as they become fewer!
Apr 18, 2012Iv been upset at Donald, love the show but to indicate that to be successful in business you cant be soft and to reward underhanded behaviour and demote moral subjective behavior is to me defeating a purpose and main objective.I'm meek and fare, fare being key word by nature.Once ,I almost lost promotion, because they thought I was to soft. I said ,well I'm fare and astute, if the customer is wrong, I will bring it their attention remind them what the liabilities are and bring it to a resolution ..if the company has emitted an era ,I want repeated business and referrals ,Ill choke it up to human element of era explain why if come in for teeth cleaning and we find more we cant be expected to to that for the same deal and work a fare compromise ..my sells and customers service satisfaction should indicate that meek fairness is the best reward for both customers and business..Got the promotion and proved my position. They where happy and so was i. But he has done this a few times I love the show but don't like when a good nice person gets bullied then he Donald promotes the bully as productive recourse??

You nurture, protect and care for the things you love. And your furniture should be no exception. New or old, we all have furniture we love. Furniture should be cared for in the same way we take care of ourselves – similar to a skincare beauty routine.
Furniture’s beauty routine mirrors basic care regimes like sunscreen and concealers, including: cleansing, polishing and, of course, covering those tiny imperfections. It’s more than dusting and polishing, it’s about nourishing, revitalizing and bringing out furniture’s inner beauty.
You can start caring for your furniture by tossing that all-purpose cleaner and going to a trusted source. Guardsman has been at the forefront of furniture care for nearly 100 years, leading the way with expertise, products and solutions to help revitalize, protect and restore furniture. With more than 20 furniture care products, Guardsman offers a comprehensive line of furniture care and repair products to nurture your new and heirloom wood, leather and fabric furnishings.
"This is one of my favorite antiques that I've had for years. Protecting the wood is a big part of maintaing this piece's beauty." -Tori Spelling
Does your antique coffee table need a good cleaning? Guardsman’s Purifying Wood Cleaner quickly cuts through grime, oily films and food and beverage residues, leaving a streak-free clean with no dust attracting residue.
Now it’s time to polish & revitalize. When you use Guardsman’s revitalizing Wood Polish with UV protection, you’re enhancing your wood’s natural luster and helping banish the effects of time by concealing fine surface scratches. It also helps to protect your furniture from sun damage.
The secret to beautiful furniture is simple… “Stop Cleaning. Start Caring™” That’s why Guardsman has teamed up with TV design star Tracy Hutson to help spread the word. You could win a $1,500 room re-accessorizing and shopping experience with Tracy, along with a suite of Guardsman products.
Go to Guardsman.com to share a story about your favorite piece of furniture and make a promise to care for it in the same way you care for other things you love. Hutson will select one lucky winner with the best furniture story.
To launch the campaign, Guardsman is donating $25,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help build simple and affordable homes in partnership with low-income families.
Also be sure to check Guardsman’s entire line of more than 20 furniture care products at furniture retailers, as well as hardware, home improvement and specialty stores nationwide. Our heart. It’s kind of important, right? It’s what keeps us all moving, day in and day out. That’s why I want to let you know that February is American Heart Month! Pretty fitting since February is also the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day.
My friends at Quaker Oats and I want to help make sure your heart keeps going strong for a long, LONG time. It doesn’t take much to start making simple changes that can help your heart. Just check out our tips below for some thought starters. Each one only takes five minutes of your time:
1) Eat heart healthy meals: You don’t have to go on an extreme diet to be more heart healthy. Replace some of the refined grains you eat with whole grains. Start making the change at breakfast by eating 100% whole grain Quaker Oatmeal. 3g of soluble fiber daily from oatmeal, in a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may help reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of Old Fashioned Quaker Oats has 2 grams. Quaker is also introducing new Quaker Whole Hearts cereal, which provides another tasty, heart healthy breakfast option for the whole family.
2) Know the state of your heart: Unsure if you should see the doctor now or wait until your annual visit to check your heart health? Find out more about your heart in just five minutes using the American Heart Association’s My Life Check Assessment at QuakerOats.com to help make an informed call.
3) Increase your workout time: Take five minutes to post your favorite workout to Facebook or Twitter, and ask your social network to share their top picks in return. You’d be surprised what great workouts you can learn about from your friends!
4) Learn facts about heart health: Recent figures from the American Heart Association estimate ninety percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease. Knowing your blood pressure, among other important numbers, is one way to help stay informed about your heart health.
5) Make time for family fun: Set-up a “family night” each week. Cook a healthy dinner together, break out the board games or head outside to enjoy a nice walk. Sharing in laughter and fun helps relieve stress, which is great for your heart!
I love that last one. You can catch even more tips like these from Quaker Coach Bob Harper all through February at QuakerOats.com.
As part of its longstanding commitment to promoting heart health, Quaker supports the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement and is continuing to provide resources to help women better understand the easy steps they can take to help prevent heart disease. You can join the Go Red for Women movement too, and help spread the message. There’s no reason that eight million women living in the U.S. need to battle heart disease.
Let’s all take five minutes for our hearts to ensure long and healthy lives.
This is a good post...reminding us all... beauty ( health ) starts on the inside...and how we take care of ourselves!

Feb 20, 2012This is too funny we just got done eating oatmeal and blueberries! We like Quaker Steelcut Oats best!
Feb 20, 2012As a woman and a mother to two daughters, it is so important to be aware of heart health. I lost my mother last year in part due to her heart as well as other health related issues, so it is extra important to me. Thank you for sharing this. And go Quaker Oats for bringing this topic to all of us! :)

Feb 20, 2012very cool!
Feb 20, 2012That is funny to me too! The people at work (Financial Co.) would make fun of me for eating oatmeal every day for our lunch break when they were ordering hero's, Italian dishes, & all sorts of big meals!...Still now I enjoy eating Quaker oatmeal, only now I have time to add strawberries to it! LOL! I usually try eating it every day!... I do have to worry about heart disease in the family! My grandma died of a heart attack & ironically my moms dad died at the age of 44 from one as well! My mom was pregnant with me at the time! They didn't know much then!....It is a good idea of bringing heart disease awareness to women and also how to prevent it!! Great Job! Thank you for sharing this with all of us!!
I don't like oatmeal, I never have but I make a shake every morning for my 7 year old and myself and add uncooked oatmeal and flaxseed. It's delicious and you can't taste the oatmeal, so I found a way to have my oatmeal without barfing! I do have heart disease in my family. Thank you Tori you are such a caring person
